Now that we’ve got that out of the way. Here are some of the emails we’ve received from people through our contact us form including some testimonials which are always welcome and sometimes even inspiring.

“Approximately 1 out of every 50,000 people who visit this website send us an email about interesting facts. We enjoy reading them and sometimes use them, thank you” Hi. my name is guy and i’m a 15 year old from israel.      “These facts are fun to read to kill time on the smart phone. My girlfriend and I never have to waste any more time standing in lines, waiting for dinner in a restaurant, or waiting on each other! Keep expanding this, as it’s an enjoyable read!“

” YOUR SITE IS AMAZING! I was really bored while sitting on my pc and thought of doing something interesting and useful. Then i googled interesting facts and got your site. Trust me i read each and every fact and nothing seemed boring to me. Got a lot of information. Please upload some more. Thank you for making my time useful and interesting. “

“Site expansion: I really love this website, and I’ve gone through each and every fact. So, I’m wondering if you’re going to expand the number of facts? I really hope you do!
Thanks!”

“Hi, was just wondering what your favorite interesting fact of all time was  ?”  My answer is that I’ve never thought about it until I read the email. When I did take a moment to think about it, I realized, wow! that’s deep and I need some time on that one because I really enjoy so many. After more thought, I don’t believe I really have a favorite fact to single out.

“Hi, I have studies just 2-3 topics on your site, and it was neatly presented. When I was really bored, I searched for some interesting facts in internet, and I have visited 4 – 5 sites, where it contains full of images which is quite annoying. Finally I reached your website, where you can see very decent pictures, and really amazing facts. Only one thing you have to change is that, the right side topics you have listed is not properly aligned. So this is the review of your site from my side. You are doing a wonderful job !!!. I hope I’m the one out of 50,000 now LOL!!! Keep going.”

“ Elephants haven’t got four knees. They have two. The “knees” at the front are elbows. Fact! “

I’m sorry but fact 48 is not true. There are no animals (not even the elephant) that have four knees.
The joints of the front legs, that are perceived as ‘knees’, are in fact wrists. This is a common misunderstanding due to the belief that a leg joint that bends between the foot and the body must be a knee. The main difference between us and the elephants is that our foot bones and hand bones are separate, whereas those of the elephant are one in the same, and have evolved to suit this four-legged mammal.

Got this email from someone in Snohomish County Washington. It was pasted here just as it was sent to us….

☆ Email Subject:  This website is not a reliable one

” As I was browsing this website I found a few things that made me question strongly its reliability. The first thing was that on one of the facts, it said, “Did you know that your brain has no pain receptors or pain fibers and the brain it’s self can not feel?”. The part of this that jumped at me was the huge grammar mistake. It instead should have said, “… the brain itself can not feel?”. The word ‘it’s’ is a compound of ‘it’ and ‘is’. Even without the apostrophe, though, it would have still been grammatically incorrect. The second thing was you had a ‘fact’ that stated, “The color of a hen’s earlobe will usually determine the color of the egg shell. Farmers know hens with red or darker colored earlobes are most likely to lay brown eggs and hens with lighter colored or white earlobes will usually lay white eggs.” This is incorrect in many ways. For one, hen’s do not even have earlobes! If you were referring to the comb on top of their heads then that is alarming because if a hen has a white comb that does not effect the color of her eggs but it does show that she could be very sick. Secondly, the color of a hen’s egg is determined by the amount of calcium in her diet. The more calcium she is getting, the browner the shells of the eggs she produces. (A browner the egg shell also means the thicker the egg shell.) After that incredibly untrue fact, I was not sure I could trust any more of the so-called facts on this website. If you want your website to have a better reputation, please assure that everything you put on it is actually true. Thank you. “

Okay, Now back to more interesting facts from you.

[Interesting Facts] Thomas Edison “Thomas Edison was a telagraph operator and the inventor of the quadraplex telegraph. Using a telegraph reqires morse code which is a series of dots and dashes, hence his children’s names, or rather nicknames.”

[interesting facts] Wrong date entered found “In that page ‘funny interesting facts’, please see fact 54 and 55. Those mentioned facts are refering 43 in it. But i believe it should refer fact 53..Please have a view in to it.”
Thanks and Regards,
Sajeev

Sounds alike but different words In Funny Interesting Facts #47 the word they’re should be their.

Hi, in the “interesting facts” section of this site there is a fact that says all the clocks in Pulp Fiction are set to 4:20. However, in the coffee scene there is a clock in the background that is set to 8:20.

You should have some facts about men too. Not just women because men are just as interesting. Kbye.

Reading through your ‘funny facts’ I came across ‘fact’#60. The rule of thumb phrase comes from the English law which in the past said that a man could not beat his wife with something that was wider than a thumb. This is completely untrue as such a law has never existed! The origin of this phrase is actually unknow though most likely comes from using the thumb as a rough measuring guide.

Your facts are very intresting, and im truly 1 out of 50,000 woop xoxoxox.

I found this website really interesting! However, I found some of it confusing to read due to the grammatical errors. “It’s” is a contraction of “It is”. If you wouldn’t say the words “it is”, then it’s just its. Also, their means beloning to them. “It’s their wedding.” There means a placement of something. “It’s over there.” And they’re is a contraction of they are. “They’re going to the zoo.” Please don’t take offense to my corrections; I just think it would be easier for people to understand if it was grammatically correct. Loved the facts!

Lobsters have blue blood. A stegosaurus was said to have a brain the size of a walnut. There are 1,792 steps to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Your ears never stop growing. Women blink almost twice as much as men. I hope these helped.

Gallium and Cesium are two metals that will melt if you keep them on your palm.

An interesting fact: I don’t know if this fact is on the list as I did not get a chance to read all the way through the list; nevertheless this fact has always amazed me: There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on earth.

I thought that I would help you out and illustrate a grammatical error in one of your facts. On #7, your use of the word “worst” is incorrect. The tense of bad that should be used in the instance in worse. I just thought it would make your site seem more reliable if the grammar was correct, since the whole basis of your site is to convey and spread knowledge.

Hi, I really enjoyed reading the interesting facts. But I actually noticed one mistake. In point 76 you say the elephant has the longest pregnancy term, but it’s actually the frilled shark(chlamydoselachus anguineus) with a pregnancy term of 42 months.

If the brain can’t feel pain, what is brain freeze?

I have read your interesting facts about women and i have to say it is interesting but there is a problem. As the subject refers to it concerns the word women and it’s plural. In your list facts the word woman is often mistaken for it’s plural word women and used blatantly as if nothing is wrong with it. I find that disturbing. Please fix it. Regards.
